LisaViolet's Cathouse truly deserves its appelation, "Best Little Cathouse in Cyberspace." Although well-known for her declaw webring, "Educate! Don't Amputate!!", LisaViolet's Cathouse is much more an animal advocacy site, and much of that portion of the site is tenderly presented with pages such as the Comeback Kitties, which are real-life success stories of rescued cats. Her Spay & Neuter page is filled with solid facts and heartbreaking stories by shelter workers who have to kill other people's "mistakes." Moving along, if you're feeling voyeuristic, you can read Dear Diary, which is a newsy account of everything going on at the Cathouse, or if you need a break from watching your own cat snooze in a chair, you can watch one of the Cathouse kitties on their very own cathouse webcam, which refreshes every couple of minutes or so. There's also an outdoors webcam and if you're very lucky, you might just catch a cat chasing leaves. Ben's Den is beautifully furnished and hides a lot of fun activities: a goldfish bowl you can play with, a couple of horoscope games, crossword puzzle, a rat-in-a-maze game, and other hidden goodies. Make sure you have Java and Javascript enabled on your browser before entering here. This site is huge. You'll find postcards, humor, cat tips, informative articles, recipes, a bulletin board, chat room, even free e-mail. LisaViolet has 17 feline siblings and each has their own page. Once you've entered LisaViolet's Cathouse, you may never want to go home. The music alone made me want to stay.
