The Cats Site of the Week honors one site each week for excellence in web site design, format and content. Much like sites which have received the Best of the Net awards, Sites of the Week simply leap off the screen and demand to be explored. They are really in-your-face web sites, and as such, deserve special recognition. This week's honored site is just that.

Foothill Felines

In the past couple of months I have found one site cropping up over and over again when doing searches for my Subjects resources links. You'll see links to pages from this site in the Health, Behavior, Bengal cat resources, and a few other Subjects pages. Foothill Felines is more than a web site for a cattery, and much more than a store for pet products. It's also a huge information feed for people with all breeds (and non-breeds) of cats.

There is no way I can do justice to this site by trying to link everything I think you should see, so I'm going to just start you off with a few of my favorites:

The Feline Health Corner has articles about almost any condition known to cats.
The Big Cats section offers loads of information about those wild cats we love to see on television and in books.
Allergies and Cat Lovers is about just that--what are allergens and how do you live with them.
Catnip How to grow it and what to do with it.
Nutrition Needs for Cats - One of the most comprehensive I've seen.

Here's the index page for the Feline Resource Center. I'm going to turn you loose with it, and trust you'll come back.
There are dozens, probably hundreds of pages on this site, so bookmark it--it's a keeper. It works for me.
