ARF's mission of bringing people and animals together to enrich each other's lives is amply demonstrated within their walls. Each rescued animal receives medical care, socialization, and plenty of love, and all are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. In additon, ARF provides follow-up support for the life of the adopted animal. If for some unforseen reason an adopter cannot keep an adopted cat, ARF will help in finding a new home. Still, with ARF, as with other adoption agencies, it should always been understood that adopting a cat, like adopting a baby, is a lifetime commitment - up to 20 years or more, in the case of a cat.
