With the potential ability to spay or neuter thousands of animals each year, the Spay and Neuter Clinic, funded through the generosity of Lynn and Dolores McCoskey, will help stem the vast pet overpopulation problem in a humane way. It is estimated that there are approximately 70 million street cats and strays in the United States, most of them unneutered. Spaying and neutering is the only way to stem the tide of unwanted cats and dogs. Each cat and dog that leaves ARF for a new home represents a small victory in the fight against animal overpopulation.
