Cat fur shedding and cat matting becomes a big problem during the spring when the daylight hours get longer. Shorthair kitties may not need a great deal of help, but medium and longhair cats require grooming to keep fur from flying. Grooming to remove shed fur does more than keep your furniture and wardrobe fur-free. It keeps the skin healthy, allows for air circulation so kitty stays cool, and reduces swallowed fur that results in hairballs or (worse) constipation. Enter the EZ-Groomer.

Cat Grooming Made "EZ"

Many cats object to grooming, particularly when dealing with mats. Tangled, matted fur pulls the skin in such a painful way that cats avoid being petted, let alone sit still to have a comb dragged through the mess.

The EZ-Groomer is sturdy, economical, and great value. It also appeals to cats, even when dealing with tangled fur, because of the wide tooth design. Because of the wide teeth, it was not particularly effective on a shorthair cat to pull off fur.

The unique design was inspired by the jaw bone of chum salmon. The inventor brought some home from a fishing trip, and later used the curved tooth to gently scratch his cat--and was amazed at how well it removed shed fur. The cat loved it too...and the rest is history!

Medium to longhair cats benefit the most from this design, which gathers the undercoat quite effectively. It comes in two sizes--a 5-tooth and 7-tooth version, which also work well on dogs. The teeth easily penetrate to the skin through even the thickest fur. They also work well to pick apart mats that haven't been set for long--and that's a huge benefit for owners of Persian and other mat-able felines. Using the EZ-Groomer on a daily basis will eliminate mats altogether.

Seren enjoyed the massage aspect. She didn't want me to stop!

Seren didn't want me to stop--the massage kept her purring, while the groomer removed loose fur.
