CNN broadcasted last night a startling new theory being explored by the FDA that the melamine contamination in the recalled foods could have been placed there intentionally, with the intent of boosting the protein level of the wheat gluten with profit in mind.

Yet another pet food manufacturer has recalled several products due to wheat gluten contamination by melamine. Sunshine Mills, based in Red Bay, Alabama has voluntarily recalled several of its branded dog biscuits, as well of six "private label" biscuits Sunshine Mills makes for other customers.

Menu Foods extended the dates of its recalled food list back to November 8, 2005. A total of 20 varieties in the United States and Canada have [also] been added to the recall list. A further seven varieties for Europe have been added to the recall list.
