- Menu Foods Pet Food Recall Press Release (PDF File)
(Revised) The original release mentioned "contaminated wheat gluten from a new supplier" as a possible source of the deaths of cats and dogs, leading to the recall. This PR only says "The Fund has, however, discovered that timing of the production associated with these complaints, coincides with the introduction of an ingredient from a new supplier. The Fund stopped using this ingredient shortly after this discovery and production since then has been undertaken using ingredients from another source." It should be noted that "The Fund" PR is targeted to investors as is heavily weighted to that direction. - Menu Foods List of Recalled Cat Foods
A reminder that these are all of the "cuts and gravy" variety as opposed to pate, and only sold in cans and packets. Dry foods have not be subject to this recall. - Menu Foods List of Recalled Dog Foods
Also of the "cuts and gravy" variety. - FDA Pet Food Recall Index
