NOTE: Since melamine and cyanuric acid contaminants were found to be the cause of certain imported wheat gluten being suspect during the height of the pet food recall, and because pet food manufacturers have either found new sources of wheat gluten or stopped using it in their products, this list will NOT be updated, and only should be considered an historical archive.

In the ongoing Menu Foods Pet Food Recall, an ASPCA press release suggests feeding pets only dry pet foods that do not contain wheat gluten. I am providing a list of such foods for my readers' convenience. This list includes popular grocery store brands as well as premium brands of dry cat foods without wheat gluten. The list is not exhaustive, and cat guardians should develop the habit of reading pet food labels to form their own opinions. Inclusion in this list is not to be construed as an endorsement for any of these products. I have included links to my own reviews of dry pet food where applicable.
