These popular quizzes include some just for fun, and others to test your knowledge about cats. There's even a scavenger hunt with links to clues to the answers.
For other quizzes, I've included links to helpful articles you may use for clues, or just for reading after you've finished the quizzes. Most of these quizzes are javascript-based, so be sure your browser has javascript turned on.
After you've completed one or more of these quizzes, you may want to enroll in my Cats Quiz a Week Newsletter, which will send a different quiz each week, including those listed here.
1. What Kind of Cat Are You?
For years, this has been one of the most popular quizzes on this site. I am pleased to introduce a new, improved version. It's strictly for fun, so go for it!
Have you ever watched a cat rolling in the sun and thought how wonderful it would be to be a cat? Have you wondered what kind of a cat you might be in a reincarnation? Take this little purrsonality test, and you might be surprised by the answer.
Note: This test is purely unscientific and guaranteed not to turn you into a cat, but we think it's fun. I'm an Abyssinian (shown in the picture), according to this quiz.
2. Cats Photo Quiz: How Well Do You Know Your Cats?
If you're like many cat lovers, you want to know everything there is to learn about cats. Here's a chance to test your knowledge about cat breeds and colors, while viewing some pretty sumptuous cat photos. There are an even dozen questions in this quiz. (The cat pictured here is not in the quiz, so no spoilers here.)
If you did poorly in the quiz, I'd suggest you read my article Breeds, Domestic Cats, and Color Patterns, then take the quiz again.
3. Feline Knowledge Quiz
Nowadays there is no excuse for anyone with access to a computer to remain in the Dark Ages where our favorite pets are concerned. How far have you come as a result of reading articles on this site and on other great feline-related sites?
This quiz is divided into several sections, each covering a different subject, including feline anatomy, medical terms, and cat fancy terms. This quiz is structured a bit different from the rest; rather than a multiple choice, you'll be required to type in an answer. Due to the way the javascript is constructed, case is important, but if you were close enough, don't fret about the scores. When you make it through to the end, there's a reward for you.
4. What Kind of Cat Person Are You?
Are you indifferent to cats, a cat owner, a cat lover or an irredeemable cat slave? Take this javascript-based cats quiz to analyze your true relationship with your cat. Be sure to have javascript enabled in your browser.
Note: I have had a few comments from unhappy readers who are crazy about their cats, but didn't fare well with this quiz. I am not a psychologist, and this is not a scientific test but was designed to give you an approximate appreciation of your relationship to your own cats and cats in general.
5. Boy Cat? Girl Cat? Picture Quiz
6. Cat Songs Quiz
This one has a different twist, and draws on your knowledge of cat-related songs. Cats enter into music more often than we realize. Of course, everyone is familiar with the Broadway musical and movie of that name, but what about the immortal "Smelly Cat" popularized by a famous TV series character? This quiz is based around songs with cats or cat-related titles, lyrics, and sometimes musicians.
Test your knowledge of "Cat Music" with this java-based script. Drop-down lists make the answers for each blank even easier. When you finish this question, hit the "Go" button for the next one. Please be sure your browser supports javascript.
I bet you can't finish this quiz without humming or singing one of the songs for the rest of the day.
7. Quiz: Breeds, Color Patterns, Domestic Cats
This quiz was developed to go with the article, Feline Breeds, Domestic Cats, and Color Patterns, and you may want to read that article before taking this quiz. Also refer to the Breed Profiles for the major breeds of cats.
How extensive is your knowledge about cats' breeds? Are you confused between breeds and color patterns? Can you tell a calico cat from a tortoiseshell? Take this javascript-based quiz for both fun and information. Be sure to have javascript enabled in your browser.
If you choose the correct answer you are automatically sent to the next question. If you choose a wrong answer you'll be directed to a page with the correct answer. This page will sometimes contain links to other pages which explain the answer in more detail.
8. What Kind of Cat Guy Are You?
What kind of cat guy are you? Take this multiple choice javascript personality test to find out. Ladies, if you know your man well enough, you can take this quiz for him. At the end of the quiz the total for each personality will be evaluated to determine which personality has the highest count. In the event of a tie for most answers one of the tied personalities will be selected at random.
Have fun with it and please don't feel too bad if the results don't seem to go along with your self-image. It is a strictly UNscientific quiz. The quiz result pages offer advice for men who truly fall into one or another category, but if you think the results were all wrong, don't take anything on those pages as gospel.

The quiz questions cover a wide variety of cat health matters, and are of varying degrees of difficulty.
10. Cats Scavenger Hunt Quiz
When is a scavenger hunt not a scavenger hunt? When it's used, not to just search for elusive items, but to search for clues to quiz questions, while learning more about cats at the same time. The short answer is "When it's an About Cats Scavenger Hunt Game."
It's easy to get started. Answer the question the first time if you can. If not, I've made it easy for you. If you miss the correct answer, go back and click on the clue link.
