Cat Picture of the Week: Maksimilian

My cats name is Maksimilian. I found him and his sister at a vet's office which was on the way to a class I was taking. I had found my other cat Vladimir there in terrible condition, and that day something told me to stop. I found Maks and his sister Kiska curled up together not even being noticed. I asked the girl at the front desk if they'd been left there and were they okay. I was told yes they were left there and they were both okay.

I knew they weren't, so I took them both, and I drove to MY vet immediately. Maks had a severe case of Feline Scabies and worms, and Kiska had an upper respiratory problem. I had them taken care of and took Kiska home, leaving Maks for his treatments.

They've been with me ever since. They are 6 months old now, and you would never know Maks had any kind of skin problem. He's a beautiful boy, and he's incredibly loving. The bond he has with his sister is amazing. I can't imagine not having stopped that day. I would never have seen them, and I hate to think what might have happened to them. They aren't the lucky ones, I am.
