Miss Polly is a pure white cat with one extra toe on each of her front and back feet better known as polydactyl. She is one of fifteen cats in a home that rescues and places cats. She opens lids of dry cat food with the cute hand like claws and helps herself and invites the other cats for treats. She knows how to open and close cabinet doors and if I want the special dry kitten food to not be disturbed I have to lock it in the closet. Miss Polly likes to knock things over if she is not getting what she wants. She has to be everywhere you are especial in your lap and on the computer table.
I took in Miss Polly after a fellow rescuer saved her from the pound the night before she was to be put to sleep and although I did not have room we made space for her. Her extra toes gave her privileges. She won her way to my heart and stayed on with us because of her cute Charlie Chaplin gait and antics.
