Captain had a sweet but devious way of turning Kim's attention away from the Beagle she wanted to adopt when she visited her local Humane Society shelter. Kim wrote that they had to walk past the cat cages to see the dogs, and when she passed by, Captain put on a premiere performance. One thing led to another and Captain was the "catch of the day."
