This wall hanging is my pride and joy, because I created it myself, from a purchased pattern. Although I have made a number of machine assembled full-sized quilts and lap quilts, this was my first attempt at a hand-stitched quilt. The four cats are appliqued to the background, the tails machine-sewn, the blocks assembled by machine, and hand-stitched around the cats and the edges of each block.
Accomplished quilters will see a number of mistakes, and no doubt shudder at my method of hanging (with push-pins). However, I am pretty proud of my accomplishment, amateurish as it may be.
