This is Elizabeth, when she was about six months old, when we visited my parents' house for Christmas. At the age of about four months, she was wandering alone (we don't know if she was abandoned, dumped, left or not) outside an elementary school. She wandered on her own into the kindergarten classroom and the kindergarten teacher took her in, and then was unable to keep her. The teacher who originally took her worked with my roommate, and I took her in on Thanksgiving 2004.

Elizabeth is NOT a lap cat in any way, but loves to say hello to new people who come in the house! She is extremely smart, and has learned exactly what time dinner is, where her favorite toy is stored, how to sit and sit up on command, and sits up and begs for attention and treats as if she was a dog! I got so lucky when I got her; she was completely litter trained, we've never had a scratching problem even though she has all her claws, and never tries to escape to the outside, although she does attack and kill anything in the bathroom trash can and will gift it to you if you don't keep the bathroom doors shut!
