Senior Cats Picture Gallery: Chaos

Chaos is 10 years old. Her birthday was 2/10/1997. I got her when I myself was 10, and now have had her for half my life. She has been like a best friend to me. I named her Chaos Ze Cat, just Chaos for short. My father adopted her for me at a local pet store sponsored by the Humane Society. She was such a beautiful kitten. The only one with the beautiful blue/grey coat and frisky attitude. I decided to name her Chaos, because when we brought her home, she ended up having fleas, but it was too late. Our entire house was infested. I was only 10, and had just learned what the word chaos meant, and thought the word named the whole situation perfect, so I named my new girl, Chaos.

She was so sweet and even nursed on a stuffed animal I had as a little girl. She has been my companion half my life, staying mainly by my side. She is extremely intelligent. Now she's very calm compared to how she was as a kitten, but she still does her tricks she learned at a baby, such as rolling over and fetching!

I even recently got a new kitten even though Chaos has always been the only cat in the household. She loves the kitten, but struggles to show who is dominant. (He is a whole other story!) Chaos loves to sleep by my side every night, and she still even nurses on that stuffed animal that she claimed as her own!

I am very lucky to have such a sweet cat to greet me when I come home and be my companion for so many years. I can only pray that she will continue to remain as strong and healthy as she has been her whole life, and maybe spend another 10 years by my side. She is like a daughter to me, so she is very well loved and adored. She loves having her picture taken and being told how beautiful she is. A bit vain, but has every right to be. She's becoming an old woman but is still very pretty and in great health, aside from being a little voluptuous!
