Keep Floors Free of Small Temptations

Keep small hazardous objects picked up.

All of these objects present the danger of choking or bowel obstruction if swallowed by cats.

Franny Syufy
Your floors and tables can become smorgaasbords of tiny, tempting objects for cats to investigate and possibly swallow - a sure recipe for choking or intestinal obstruction. Make it a habit to keep your eye peeled for items like tacks, needles, pins, staples, rubber bands, cellophane, or children's small toy parts, and pick them up immediately. Regular vacuuming will ensure that your floor will remain clear of tiny items you haven't noticed (but your cat will).
