Red cats may also go by "orange," "strawberry," "ginger," "marmelade," "yellow," or "flame." We celebrate red cats in December, because their vivid coloring mirrors the colors of a flaming red fire in the fireplace. Red cats are known for their warm, loving personalities, as those who live with them will attest. We also can't forget that December cats are red for the color of Christmas stockings and Santa's suit, as well as the color of the flames on Chanukkah candles.
