Memorial Day weekend of 2005 I heard the tiny cries of a kitten coming from the woods across the street from my house late at night. The following day I sat and called and mewed back to the kitten and finally got a hold of the little mostly-black with some white patches who became the newest member of our family, Philly. We'd been a catless household for 8 years, it's been wonderful having a purring mewing furbaby in the house again!
