Kohole
Kolohe means rascal in Hawaiian, and it fits this cat’s personality to a T. She’s 13 now, and she’s as good a hunter as ever. In Hawaii, there are mongoose, which were brought in to kill rats many years ago. They are known to be vicious fighters. We wondered why we never saw any mongoose around our farm, and one day we learned why. Kolohe was killing them off, whole nests of them, and piling the carcasses up in the field. When she’s not engaged in hunting, she’s relaxing in the sunshine and warming her old bones. Kolohe is part Maine Coon and produced gorgeous offspring.
