Enjoy these stories about people and cats, all fiction, but depicting very real events in the world of cats. These stories are from my own archives, and also include guest writers' stories.
The Cat Show - A Fable About a Strange World Without Cats
An original story about cats, far-fetched, perhaps, but purposely intended to provoke thought about the possibility of a future without cats, which could come, strangely enough, because of the failure to spay and neuter our existing cats.
The Homeless
I wrote this story originally in honor of Homeless Cat Day, but it is equally applicable to Feral Cat Day, or any day of the year, actually. It is dedicated to the universal cat, as well as those selfless voluteers who work to save them.
Adam and Eric's Holiday Miracle
Adam and Eric were school acquaintances of different faiths, so they didn't hang together very often. But one wintry day, they happened to walk home together, and one thing led to another. Enjoy this winter holiday story written for cat lovers only
Edna's ChristmasGift
Edna was fully prepared to spend her first Christmas without her husband, Joe, in many, many years. The last thing she wanted to do was have Christmas dinner with her daughter, the inlaws, and all those darn cats her daughter insisted on rescuing.
Nicky's Christmas Wish
Nicky's Christmas Wish is a story about a young boy, an impossible wish, and lessons of love and courage.
The Fourth Magi - A Christmas Story
Jim shares a glorious story about a cat-hating curmudgeon and the cat who had his own say about the matter.
Beloved of Bast
A sensitive, compassionate story written by Jim Willis, who operated a rescue organization called The Tiergarten Sanctuary, along with a very special extra piece called, "The Animals' Savior," which has become a beacon of strength to shelter workers.
Free Kittuns
This sad story reminds us that "free to a good home" is unwise, at best, and that spaying and neutering can save lives as well as heartache.
La Visitadora - The Visitor
A poignant story about a cat, two women, and the man who brought them together, from the prolific writer and artist, Jim Willis, who is a popular contributer to pet sites on About.com
The Zen of Cat
Losing a cat is never easy, but we have much to learn from them in death as well as life, as illustrated by this wonderful story by a prolific writer and animal lover.
