This is a photo of Theadorable Foggybottom, Theo for short, practicing for the Dog and Cat rodeo. Theo was found living in a pipe with his brother and sister at the manufacturing plant I work in. Mom is feral and has not been able to be caught yet. Theo was three to four weeks old when he was found and is now four months old, and ready for neutering. Theo is a wonderful addition to our family of two Labrador Retrievers and two cats of questionable, rescue lineage.
I work in a college town and agricultural area. The area has a huge feral/abandoned cat problem. One contributor to the problem are cats adopted during the school year and dumped in the park in the summer. Another contributor to the problem are cats that are acquired as mousers and never spayed or neutered, resulting in unwanted litters that are then released into fields and parks in the area, causing an explosion in the population.
Please spay and neuter your pets and never, ever take on responsibility for an animal you are not fully prepared to commit to.
