Kola

"I found Kola on my way to a native american spiritual ceremony in Indianapolis, IN, in 1998. An immature bald eagle flew across the highway at about eye level with me, less than a car length in front of my car about ten minutes before I got to a rest area east of Indianapolis. He and his mother had been dumped off at the rest area when he was about 8 weeks old. When I found him, he was crouched near his mother, but she'd been struck by a vehicle and had died. Kola backed off from me when I approached him at first, but when I called to him he came up to me, and when I picked him up, he was clingy and started telling me all about how awful things were. I stopped and got him some food, water, a large carrier, and a litter pan and litter at the next exit.
His full name is Kola Wambleska (Kola Wam-BLEE-skah) (Sioux for "Friend White Eagle")

Kola is one of our forum kitties, and one of many lucky rescued cats sharing Kathy's (AKA Cathelper) home.
The Forum Cats Photo Album is reserved for those kitties who rule the homes of About Cats Forum members. You may send your own great cat photo, using the guidelines on the Photo Submittal page. Be sure to write a paragraph or so about the cat. I can whittle down for brevity. Also, please include your forum name, and use "Forum Cat Photo" as the subject of your email.
