Pour In the Litter

Most litter manufacturers recommend using 2" to 3" of litter. I use 3" to 4", because my cats are all deep scratchers, and will dig all the way to the bottom of the litter box if I use less. Start with two inches and experiment until you find the ideal depth for your cat. I'm using World's Best Cat Litter here. It has been mine and my cats' favorite for a couple of years.

I always give the litter a final levelling off so they have a nice, smooth surface to dig in. Note: I've removed the liner since this is a clumping litter.
