My Cat's name is Red Chezum. She came to us in 1999; we guess she was 7 to 9 years old at that time, at least that's what the Vet said. We believe she was left by a family that moved from our complex . . . she came up to my husband right away. She would stay on our carport roof at night and wait until she saw the bedroom light come on in the morning. Then she would climb down and go to our patio door waiting for us to feed her. We did that for several months because we could not have a cat in our apartment. One night it was raining really hard; I felt sorry for her so I let her in and she never went back out. When my Husband brought home a small kitten he found at his bus yard Red just took over as his mother they cuddled together and Red taught Moose the ins and outs of being a cat. Red was a good, loving kitty. She adjusted well when we moved to a house; all 5 of the other cats we have minded Red like she was the Matriarch of the household. When Red passed away on August 27, 2008 they were all unusually quiet and saddened ... especially Moose. We miss her a lot, Moose misses her the most; she was his mommy.
