Introducing Cats to the Klaw Kontrol Bag
As for getting them in, I just follow the directions, basically. You place the cat on the opened bag and get the velcro collar around them first. Then, if they've wiggled out of position, you get them back in position and zip the top zipper and they're in.
Handle Use is Questionable
If you use the KK Bag as a carrier, please just carry the cat as you would normally, just in the bag, instead of using the handles. Perhaps I was holding it wrong and applied pressure the wrong way, but just in case, I won't be carrying a cat in it by the handles again.
Nail and Teeth Care
For claw trimming, you have two zippers in front - one for each front leg. I open one and clip the claws on one paw, then I put that paw back in, zip that side, and get the other paw out the other zipper and do the same. Much easier than just trying to hold them while clipping claws and having three other paws trying to stop me from clipping. However, while I'm clipping Romeo, he has discovered that my hands are in range of his little mouth. I try to hold his head to my body gently with the arm attached to the hand holding his paw to keep him from nipping.
As for the back paws, I wish there were two back paw zippers like there are two front paw zippers. There is access to the hind end, but each back paw must come out the same zipper. It's possible, though they could have put some zippers specifically for the hind paws.
Administering Meds and Taking Temp
As for checking the temperature, the zipper in the back is much better for that. Though, if you have a cat who has other plans besides having their temp checked, as was the case with Fiona, it may be a bit challenging to get their little bum bum at the opening. However I don't think I would have been able to take her temp (at least by myself) without the bag helping.
I give the Klaw Kontrol Bag 4 out of 5 stars. I'd probably rate it a 5, had it not been for the handles and rear zipper issues.
