My Review

I have owned this fountain for many years. It has the large water reservoir attached to it. My cats love this fountain and in the summer I put ice cubes in it for ice water. I suggest cleaning this once a week - that means tearing it apart and using the brushes made for this. The filter does not need to be changed weekly, but I do suggest cleaning the unit. After several years, fine charcoal dust from the filters has slightly discolored the edges of the bowl. Hard water will also cause deposits/crusts to form. The company makes an attachment that allows oat grass to grow by hydroponics - it attaches to the edge of the bowl. This will require you to watch the water levels more carefully since it uses the water. They sell pre-molded packages of seed but I found that I could just refill the cage with my own seed and it worked just as well and was less expensive. I like the fountain - it is really a 2 in 1 device - fountain for your cats and waterfall - soothing sound for you.
