When, Where and How I Got My Red Cat
I moved into the house in early 2006 and he came with it! He is a neighborhood kitty and I got him fixed & vaccinated. He gets along very well with my other pets and is probably the biggest cat of all of them. He likes to curl up in a basket by the front door.
I'd Describe My Cat As…
A charming, spoiled loner. He's also quiet and remarkably well-mannered. I actually saw him when he was a semi-feral kitty about 2 blocks away from the house into which I eventually moved. I'm certain it was the same kitty. Harvey showed up one day & I was so happy to see him again! I gave him Catsip & the dry food the other cats get and he kept coming back. He's been fixed & is up to date on his shots (gets them annually). He still prefers being an outdoor cat but comes around daily and when it gets cold, he stays inside. He is stand-offish and prefers to curl up somewhere away from the other cats. They like to sniff him because he smells of The Great Outdoors (they're inside kitties).
Advice
- Just treat them as sweetly as you would any other kitty
- They like lots of catnip
- They like lots of high-up places to hide and sleep
