When, Where and How I Got My American Shorthair Cat

An acquaintance died and left her 5 year old, 20 lb, tuxedo cat. He was to find a home or be destroyed. I couldn't even consider the latter option and took him in. When he came he did not purr, he did not sleep on the bed and he was very spooky. Now four short years later he sleeps with me every night, purrs like a jet engine, greets me when I get home from work and is only afraid of loud noises. He is the perfect companion and loves me as much as I love him.

I'd Describe My Cat As…

Very social and well behaved. Never had an accident in the house and is extremely clean. He is very, very affectionate and tends to be a great talker. He doesn't like canned cat food and wants to switch off to something else after making me think he likes any particular food. He is very, very lovable.
