We got our Bengal about 5 years ago when she was two years old from a breeder who decided not to breed her again.we were looking for something a little different and still wanted a live animal in our retirement years , to love and sit on our laps.We bought our cat

Very loving and gentle once she gets to know you.|It took A WHILE FOR HER TO BECOME ACCUSTOMED TO US BUT WHEN SHE DID SHE SLEPT WITH MY WIFE ON the couch when my wife was napping , curling up in the crook of my wifes legs.when we watch tv she always sits on my leg watching the tv tooSHE LOVES TO PLAY WITH FEATHER TYPE CAT DUSTERS AND SHE JUST LOVES MOVING WATER, drinking out of the water stream.She is an F-5 hybrid so we`re told.
Advice
- If you get an older Bengal cat be prepared to wait a while for her to get to know you as the wild genes seem to be predominant at times and she will remain aloof.Once she gets truly acquainted she will be as affectionate as any other cat.
- Don't be afraid to play with her as her wild genes just love to attack moving objects.if there happens to be a fly on the floor or flying around a lamp she will go immediately into attack mode and chase the fly until she gets it and then eats it. It is fun to watch her as the wild takes over in the hunt. Afterwards she is just as gentle an calm as can be.
