When, Where and How I Got My Bengal Cat
All three were rescues from homes that were not able to handle them.
I'd Describe My Cat As…
Attention seekers. All three of them love to be in the center of the action. They bolt to the door when the garage door opens and are waiting for you when you come in. They love to explore everything over and over. Mine have no real issues that I've seen with some Bengal owners. They faithfully use the litter boxes and do not spray. There is never a dull moment in the house and usually not a quiet one either. They love curling up in front of the fireplace and getting as hot as they can tolerate. Beautiful animals, anyone I show pictures to thinks they are the most unique cats they have seen.... but lots of patience required as the "parent" of this group. It's a rare moment when all three settle in and take a nap at the same time!
Advice
- I would advise lots of research and chatting with other Bengal owners before acquiring one. They are beautiful and attract a lot of attention but they are not for the faint of heart. They are extremely vocal for no apparent reason other than liking to hear themselves make noise. They love to explore everytyhing...including cupboards, drawers, the top of the highest piece of furniture, you name it, they can get in or on it. You never know what to expect when you come home and what they have gotten into during the day. There is always some activity somewhere in the house with these guys.
