When, Where and How I Got My Cat
Captain Kirk came from my father-in-law's ranch. a stray female just showed up had babies and disappeared a few weeks later. My husband looked down one day and here was the most tiny kitten he had EVER seen!! turns out he was the runt. Not wanting him to be all alone we took him home.
Spock was a pet store. we saw him and just knew he was for us. he was playing with us through the cage and i just couldn't go home to our comfy house knowing that he was gonna stay there in that cold place with nobody to love him.
Surprisingly enough Kirk actually likes Spock. He even cleans him and plays with him.
I'd Describe My Cat As…
Kirk is a mamma's boy. He gives me "kisses" and has to sleep with us in the bed under my blanket. As the runt of the litter he at 2 years old is about the size of a 6-8 month old kitten. he weighs 6 pounds and looks like he has a bit of tabby in him. He is very tolerant of our 8 year old (human) son. He is definitely a sweet heart. He always has to be in the midst of things and if you bring ANYTHING new into our house you have to let him smell it before you even try to do anything. Including our newest baby Spock.
Spock loves to cuddle. He has to sleep on daddy's lap or on our son's bed. he is very energetic and playful and LOVES to chase balls!!! we are almost sure he spent too much time next to the puppies in the store because he chews on all our shoes!! We share our building with a small second hand store and there is a door separating us from them. we discovered that Spock could fit under it when the owner of the store ( a very good friend of ours) came over and asked "Is this yours?" as she handed my son his kitten.
They both love chicken livers and sometimes if they have been exceptionaly good, or just cute, they get bits of raw burger meat when im cooking dinner.
They have brought so much to our family all we can do is try to repay them for some of it.

- and also do NOT de-claw them!!!!! Its horribly painful for them and you. If you truly love and care for your cats you will find the patience to discover alternatives.
