Not a breed challenge -- they are recovering ferals, and that can be hard.

When, Where and How I Got My Cat

I had decided it was time to have a kitty again. I grew up with them, but then lived for 20 years in apartments. I was living back home, having taken care of my mom. About 8 months after she died I went "Oh! I can have a cat again!". I found out about Petfinder.com, and started looking. I found a picture of this tiny black kitty, and fell THUD in love, and under her spell. Her brother seemed doofy, grin, but they were a bonded pair and the foster agency required they go together. Thank heavens! They were old for feral kittens, and they still have fear and trust issues. But oh how I love them. And they me.

I'd Describe My Cat As…

O is outgoing and loud. He clearly has some Oriental/Siamese somewhere in his background. He has the long (though not skinny) body, big ears, long legs, and continuous voice! He just is Sweet wrapped in fur, but not very smart. I call him my Sweet Potato.

U is tiny and dainty and was much less socialized, but still, after 6 1/2 years, she makes a little leap in confidence every 6 months or so. She is very quiet, and loves her brother and her brother loves her. And she thinks being brushed is the BEST thing in the world. She also loves tummy rubs, and has recently decided it might be safe to get them even when she is not under the covers. She is the cutest cat in the world.
