When, Where and How I Got My Cat

A "street" cat had a litter of kittens in a drain pipe near the college I attended 13 years ago. The mother for some reason left her kittens whilst they were still too young - someone found the kittens and took them to the nearest pet shop. Tamira ended up being the only one left-a student walked past the petshop and felt sorry for the lonely looking kitten and bought it out of pity, however she could not keep it as she was allergic. She brought it to the college and I ended up with the kitty (could almost fit into my hand). I kept her and 13 years later she's still my best friend.

I'd Describe My Cat As…

Spoilt rotten! Extremely loyal and loving, but only to me. She's not very forthcoming to any other human, is terrified of children and dogs, dislikes any other cat. Strangely enough, she tolerates my parents' lap-dogs...

She's a loner and not very adventurous. Rarely leaves the house, sleeps the whole day (especially now that she's getting old) - very very healthy for her age, the Vet said so! Good weight, still have all her teeth; sparkling eyes. She's going grey though... :-(

Advice

  • unconditional love
  • never leave them to "fend for themselves"
