When, Where and How I Got My Cat
I lived in Japan for 7 years. I found my cat while having a barbecue in the park. We fed him some fish and he stayed with us all night. I just couldn't leave him there. I picked him up and brought him home. He was just a kitten at the time. I loved him so much that I decided to bring him to Canada with me after I left Japan. He is still living with us in Toronto. He is all black with the characteristic short tail of Japanese bobcats. He is the best cat I have ever had.
I'd Describe My Cat As…
affectionate, calm, intelligent, playful, annoying, soft, cuddly, adorable, loves to eat, healthy, good hunter, fast. No medical problems. He does fight other cats outside sometimes and catches birds but that's normal cat behavior. He is extremely gentle and will never ever bite or claw you on purpose. He comes when called and is really responsive. He is the ultimate lap cat.
Advice
- If you have a cat like mine, you gotta give him the love he craves. It's not an independent animal who minds his own business. He is demanding (craves the cuddling and petting) and also playful at times ( he may wreck your couch!) Get him toys and acknowledge him plus he loves the occasional treat like fish or chicken.
- But if you love animals, and love the interaction with the animal, get a japanese bobtail cat. He is like family to us, that's how much he is part of our lives.
