When, Where and How I Got My Cat
Found her as a three month old kitten running around a parking lot. Learned there was a Korat breeder who had dropped a number of (not-perfect?) kittens in parking lots throughout the Richmond, VA area. She came right to me, let me pick her up, and sat quietly next to me in the front seat as I took her home, gave her something to eat and drink and then took her to the vet, where she was pronounced healthy. She immediately got along with my male orange & white tabby and bonded with my female tortie within two weeks.
I'd Describe My Cat As…
My cat was very healthy until her two cat companions passed away. Then her health rapidly deteriorated. She would sleep at the foot of my bed and wake me if she heard any strange sounds or if I needed to wake up in the middle of the night to take a prescription. One afternoon she chased the other two cats and then led me down to the basement just before a large tree crashed through the roof of our house. Had I stayed where I was, I would have been injured.
Advice
- Korats do not do well as only cats.
