When, Where and How I Got My Maine Coon
Seven years ago we rescued Buddy when he was 3 weeks old. Abandoned with 5 siblings. All found homes.. We fed him kitten formula with an eye dropper for 6 weeks.
I'd Describe My Cat As…
A lover. He is so affectionate. He tolerates everything. When company comes, he is sure to greet them with a head-butt. His way of saying hello.
When Buddy was a kitten, I only had to set him in the shoebox litter box I made for him and after watching our other cat in her box, he caught right on to it.
Buddy has no medical problems now although he did have kidney stones when he was only a year old.
Advice
- Be sure you have the time to devote to caring for your cat. They not only need food, water and a litter box, they need special time with you. We have two cats and they have staked out their individual cuddle times with me.
