When, Where and How I Got My Tuxedo

In 2007, my husband and I went to see what kittens were available at our vets small adoption center after the loss of our elderly Jack Russell Terrier.

There were 2 sisters left of one litter. My husband was insisting we'd only bring home one, and he chose Kitler.

I silently hoped the vet techs would be successful in convincing my husband that bringing home both sisters would be a great idea, and they did! So wer brought home the sisters, Kit and Molly, at 11 weeks of age on April 30, 2007.

I'd Describe My Cat As…

Kit was named by the vet techs, but they called her Kitler because of her mustache that looked like Adolph Hitler's mustache. We usually just call her Kit, though. My husband liked the name, so we kept it.

Initially, Kit had some issues with soft, frequent stools, but a round of Flagyl and a change from all dry food to better quality canned/wet foods has taken care of that issue.

Kit is a very friendly girl, and a big flirt, as well as quite funny! She has no inhibitions about showing her belly as she lazes about the house.

As a kitten, she followed our older cat, Philly, around, trilling away at her, begging Philly to be her friend.

Kit will go right up to any visitor that comes to the house and give head butts.

Kit definitely has a huge purr-sonality.
