About my Cat
Katie is a 6 year old calico rescue cat. She was adopted with her sister, Emma, five years ago, after my oldest cat crossed the rainbow bridge. Katie is the ornery one and has more energy than any cat I've ever seen! She seldom lies still for any length of time unless she's sleeping. I had pulled the slipcovers off the 11 27" pillows that lined the backs of my couches to wash them and laid one on the floor, knowing full well what would happen, so I had the camera ready. I had to ignore her while she was creating her "cave" because she would have walked away like she had nothing to do with it!
Why I Chose This Photo
This photo captures Katie Cat's personality to a tee! "Yeah, I did it; whatcha gonna do about it?" I wanted to get a good photo of her being "messy" and she didn't disappoint - I put the pillow innards on the floor, took the slipcovers to the washer down the hall, and when I returned, all I could see was her hind end sticking out and stuffing flying all over!! What a hoot!
Tips and Tricks
- I learned a long time ago not to sweat the petty things. I love seeing my fur kids have fun with something new. If it makes a bit of a mess, so what? Only takes a few minutes to clean up.
