How I Came About to Adopt This Cat
Well one day we were walking into petco to get our dog frisbys. That particular time for some reason we had gone to the very back of the store to the fish tanks. I was with my little sister looking at the fish and we looked over and we saw this really pretty gray cat with green eyes playing with my mom from the other side of the glass. She was purring and her and my mom were in love. We were actually not looking for another cat at that time but it truly was meant to be because my mom had found her buddy. You could tell. So, my mom took down the number and called and long and behold Simba is now a member of our family.
Why I Think my Cat Deserves This Title
My cat simba has gone thru three different homes because she could be a little overwhelming. Shes overwhelming because she will get into things and is slightly aggresive but not in a mean way she doesnt bite you, shell just nip at you. At first we thought it was because she was in a new place and it turned out not to be. The reason why is because she was in a home with a bunch of little kids who would constantly be aggresive towards simba so her way of defense because she was declawed was by nipping at them. So many people have just let her go because of this one habit. Little did those people know behind this little habit of nipping is a beautiful loving cat who loves sunbathing and being apart of everything her family does. She is a very loveable cat her only defense to that family because of them declawing her once was to nip but behind her little cover you have one amazing cat. My family understands this and is willing to work with her nit just give her up. Shes been thru alot of homes and having to get resettled in quite a few homes all because someone chose to declaw her and her reaction to defend her self is nipping for this they would get mad and not want her anymore its really sad. You overcome the faults because you'll never know when you may find a goldmine. Which in this case we truly have found our goldmine.
Advice
- When adopting a cat i would say look beyond your cats faults because youll never know if youll find a gold mine. Their is a reason for your cats habits and if your not willing to work them out with your cat. I would rethink adopting. Most of the time cats that are adopted go thru a lot of distress before you get the cat. So please please dont just give up on your cat work with him/her. He/She may repay you in ways you'll know or may never know.
