How I Came About to Adopt This Cat
Near the end of Summer I seen this cat around my property. We have bush all around us. I have seen many cats that I'm sure are not all strays. During that same winter I would see this cat around the property again, and then spring arrives and this same cat is thinner and looks not taken care of. I started to feed him outside he was scared, skittish and even seen him with raccoons. So with summer coming to an end I took him to the vet did several blood tests to see his health condition. I treated him, with meds for his ear mites, ear infection, fleas, and behold to me he needed fixed. I couldn't leave him in that mess.
Why I Think my Cat Deserves This Title
I know my cat deserves this title is the most appreciative boy I ever seen. Some of my family members who are not partial to any cats love this boy. He's very hard not to love him, he is so loving. I really do think he does not know he is a cat because he acts like a dog. He meets and greets all that walk into the house. He paws at their legs for his attention as if to say Hello I"m down here. He loves all creatures other cats and dogs. He is a gentle giant. The way I see it the things he must have to endeared outside all that time and he is a very good boy, loves to be vaccummed you can do anything to him and he thinks he's joining into the game and not being left out. I have another cat who is very territorial and does not like his company but he sure loves her's. He tries to do all the right things to show her he will not hurt her by licking her head, and paws gentle towards her and she reacts to him. Since he likes the outdoors we have made an enclosure with perches and all he needs to enjoy the backyard and still knowing he is very safe. He loves going out but he loves coming in too. He knows in the morning after I have cleaned his eyes he is going out to his pen and he runs for the door and walks by himself right to the pen and right in. He lets me know he wants in by meowing and putting his paw to the door and by looking up. He walks back to the house by himself to do what he wants to do in the house. Usuall it's duty time or more food please then his nap in the afternoon. When asking for treats he paws my hand to let me know I would like another and he will keep doing that until I kiss on the head to say ok now that's enough. That's his que to have a rest now. When it's bedtime after the tv goes off and the lights are shut off. He walks into this room, the room where when I first brought him into to get used to his surroundings. He automatic goes to that same room to sleep in every night. He has his bed in there and his box, and his food. So he likes routine and knows it very well, and if you have forgotten he will surely remind you. He the sweetest boy. I am so glad that I took him in and gave him a good home, my sister calls me Dr. DoLittle cause I just love my cats. He has given me so much joy and he's become the most sucky of both of them, I think he appreciates all I do for him and he's just returning his gratitude by being the perfect boy. I wouldn't change anything about him. He loves when I say where's my boy Hobo from Pokino. He grins LOL.
