 Shelter Adoptee Cuddles

Peek- A - Boo!

Name, Gender, and Age of your Cat When Adopted

Cuddles. Male. He was only five weeks old.

Your Cat's Age Now, or Age When Deceased?

Cuddles is turning two years old in July. (So 1 year old now.)

How I Came About to Adopt This Cat

We came to adopt this cat when we were going to Petco. We weren't planning on getting another cat, we already had two grown cats at the time. We were going to Petco to get another lizard because ours had died. When we drove up, it was Adoption Day. All the cats were outside in a cage. Instead of walking right in to find the right lizard for us, we saw a tiny orange and white kitten batting a feather in a cage. He caught everyone's eye. There were a bunch of people wanting to hold him, so we walked. There were no lizards left. So we walked out and had to hold the kitten. We all fell in love and ended up adopting him.

Why I Think my Cat Deserves This Title

My cat, Cuddles, should win because he has the biggest heart. Cuddles took in our new kitten just last year and now is like a father to him. Cuddles is anyone's dream cat. He cuddles with you at night time and during the day is very active. He loves the outdoors and will always bring us a special "surprise." So far he has brought a few mouses, leaves, and even a live snake! He has the cutest face that no one can resist! Cuddles is so curious. Once he ran into my neighbors house and started walking around it. But they didn't mind. The whole neighborhood knows who he is and they all love him! Also, when a house just a few down from ours was getting something repaired in their house, a man came to fix it. When the man was done, he got back in his car and to his surprise, found Cuddles sitting in the passenger seat! But thankfully, he didn't drive off with him. If you met Cuddles, I know you would love him just as much as my whole family does!

Advice

  • If you're thinking about adopting a cat, just make sure your heart is open up to a new companion.
  • Don't try to rush and pick one, just make sure you find the perfect cat for you, no matter how long it may take.
  • Make sure you have plenty of toys if the cat is still young! (And even older cats like to play sometimes!)
  • Don't be nervous, cats have a way of making everyone fall in love with them if you give them the chance!
