How I Came About to Adopt This Cat
On a cold winter’s day, my sister heard a kitten meowing. It was coming from inside a parked car. A very nice gentleman lifted the motor and the little kitten was freed. My sister cleaned the oil off of her. Thinking that the kitten was a black and white kitten, she comes to find out that kitty was a 6 month old orange and white tabby kitten. She was a beautiful and very playful kitten. I had my hesitations about taking her in because I had just lost 2 beloved cats Midnight and Sasha who has passed away 6 weeks from each other. We welcomed the little kitten in our home and named her Tabitha (Tabby).
Why I Think my Cat Deserves This Title
Tabby is such a warm and loving cat. We feel in love with her. I had forgotten what it was like to have a kitten around and how fun they can be but we already had a cat Babe, a 16 year old Siamese cat. Because of the age gap with Tabby and Bebe, Bebe was not very welcoming. Tabby was becoming sad because Bebe would not play with her. AND SHE TRIED. A friend told me about some kittens that were born in a neighbor’s yard and had taken them in and were looking for homes for the kittens. I went over to take a look. I saw a very feisty male kitten that was orange and white, and I thought that Tabby would just love a new little brother. I named him Sebastian. I know that I had make the right choice when they were playing with each other under the door, that was between them , were I was keeping Sebastian until I could get him to the vet for a checkup. They clean, play, and sleep together. I am so happy that I had taken Tabby in. Also, I am glad that I found a playmate for Tabby, too, in Sebastian. My home was now whole, again.
Advice
- I would recommend getting two kittens at the sometime, if you can. I work. I feel less guilty about leaving my cats alone, when I know that they have playmates. If you are looking for a new pet, check out your local shelter. They have gems just waiting for you to take them home and love them.
