How I Came About to Adopt This Cat
The next day after I was laid off, we went shopping to cheer me up. We went in a shop & were chatting about her cat adoption upstairs, when a man came in with a tiny little kitty. He said he was not "pure bred" and he was going to put the kitty in a shop window for adoption. The kitty was 6 weeks old and just moved gently from his shoulder to mine and huddled up so afraid and distressed. We adopted him on the spot!
Why I Think my Cat Deserves This Title
First, maybe because of his first weeks when he was not being prepared as a pure bred to be sold, he has some quirks. The best one is that he loves to chew on plastic bags! Just crinkle it a little and he comes running! And he finds any bags left anywhere! He kind of chews but does not tear or eat them. Our vet finds this strange but does not believe it is harmful. It is fun to watch him!
We could have gone shopping anywhere and it really was a spur of the moment decision. Toby Noel and Doris were supposed to meet that day! I really believe that.
Advice
- Be sure you are ready for a cat. They desire all the love you can give and they are going to love you back!
- If you have never had a cat before, talk to someone who has cats that can help you with your decision and plans.
