Best Characteristics of my Senior

P.F. was truly loveable,it took a lot to bother him. He was just amazing at what he could do and what he was willing to tolerate from his house mates.

Challenges of Life With an Older Cat

you have to have a lot of patience and understanding of their personal needs, but that would also apply to humans as well as dogs!

When, Where and How I Got My Cat

I got him years ago. he was already full grown; about 10 to 12 years old according to my vet. One very hot and humid day in July I had taken my elementary school age daughter to the park,it was walking distance from our house. While we were there I noticed P.F. sitting and crying on a park bench, someone had given him milk and food, but yet he still cried so I tried asking a whole bunch of people to take him home. No one would, so when we were getting ready to leave, I told my daughter we are taking him home. Ihad a denim knapsack so I put him in that and carried him home, all the way he kept crying.

I'd Describe My Cat As…

I found out the next day PF couldn't see, he would walk into things. So i made an appointment with the vet. PF had cataracts and a slight heart murmur, but other wise in good healthI I asked the vet if he could survive without the costly surgery, he said yes. When i brought him back home, I made it a point to watch that my other cats {3}...sometimes the other cats would pick on him and at first he wouldn't do anything. One day I saw PF hit one of the cats with his paw. From then on Il just knew he would be all right. PF was a talker, he loved to "talk" very loveable and loyal. He died one summer day about 6 years after we got him. I am very grateful to have had PF for as long as we did. His picture is on my fridge door along with my other cats, i miss them all.

Advice

  • do not be afraid to adopt a senior cat. they are grateful just to havea human to love and take care of.
  • my memories are priceless. no regrets, none whatsoever.
