My fuzzy perching

Tribute To

Fuzzy, my happy and loving cat who gave me so many years of joy.

Quirky Little Habits of my Cat

Played with foil balls; always able to entertain herself; loved all cats; loved to "head-butt" our hands so she could get pet; would jump on the counter in the hallway as we passed it so she could get pet; would play with my hair and bite it; would catch mice and lizards to play with them; love her!

What my Cat Loved and Hated Most

Fuzzy loved to play! She loved her foil balls. If I said, "Get your ball!" She would know exactly what I meant. She didn't hate anything really. She was very happy.

What I'll Miss Most About my Cat

I will definitely miss her happy heart. I had her since she was born for over six wonderful years. I will miss her snuggling with me and following me around. I will miss seeing her beautiful coat and loving eyes. I will miss her, all of her.

How this cat became my companion

Fuzzy was a kitten born to a lost kitten that I took in. When she was just a kitten, she had started to get very sick and cold. She would always want to be warmed up. She also stunk badly. We did not know the problem. She also made a clicking noise when she breathed. Finally I looked into her throat and she had a wrapper in there. I pulled it out with tweezers and it had food particles on it. Obviously it was choking her. Thankfully I was able to save her life, and her and I have been two peas in a pod for many years. She was definitely my baby.

How my cat enriched my life

I never ever saw Fuzzy sad or angry. She approached the world with such a childlike charisma. She loved to play and be played with. She loved all other cats and other people. She could never be bored because she would find one of her hundred foil balls under the couch or behind the fridge and be running and batting it across the house. She liked to play with her mom too. They became great friends even as adult cats. I loved that she was this type of cat. No matter where I was in the house, she wanted to be in that room with me. She was very affectionate and warm.

Lessons learned

  • Well, I think above I told what Fuzzy taught me about life and what I admired about her. I just want to say that in having a pet, you form a bond like no other. A cat does not care what you look like, or the mistakes you've made, they love you no matter what. They are loyal and wonderful and make the best companions. Losing a cat always hurts. I did not wake up on Saturday expecting my cat would be killed by a vicious dog. I was happy then, and now I'm miserable. Only time heals pain. I will continue to share her memory in hopes that I'll be okay again someday.
