crying

When I brought my kitten home she hid and was crying for a couple of days. She only stopped once I lured her out with some toys, and has not cried since

Chloe's Hurt Feelings

My kitty Chloe vomited on the fabric. I yelled at her and put her outside. I let her back in after an hour of outdoor discipline. She tried jumping on my lap and I shunned her because I was still mad. I looked down at her little face and she had tears coming from both eyes. I gave her the lovin' that she wanted and her tears dried up and I haven't seen them since.

cats crying

There is a cat in our neighborhood who always comes to our house. We do not know if it is homeless or is just lonely and wants to play with our cats (which hasn't turned out very well). Every night I round up my three cats and put them in my bed. I looked underneath my bed thinking my cat Evie was under there and i found the "stray cat." Not very sure how and when it got in but it was a very big and scared cat. After putting him outside i put some food and water out ( possibly the worst thing you can do, but i felt so bad for the cat) it was probably 30 degrees or lower... SO COLD! and as i was about to get up, i looked its eyes and the were watering so bad. it might have been from the weather but i felt terrible for the cat. i cracked my garage and put a warm blanket in there (again i know VERY bad).

Moonkitty's tears

Yes, we had a cat that cried real tears. He hated for us to leave for work each morning, and would hide and pout...and when we returned home in the afternoon, he was usually back to normal- friendly and loving. One day we found he 'fertilized' our house plants and we raised our voice to him in disapproval. He ran to his place under a side table that we had and cried. Real tears running down his face! It broke our hearts, but wondered if it was a coincidence. The next time he used my plants for a litter box, I scolded him again- not loud, but firm. Back he went to his 'place' and cried. Only when I picked him up and hugged and apologized to him did he brighten up. From that point on, we were more sensitive to his feelings and the crying stopped. We truly treated him as a member of our family, since we had no children yet, and he was our focal point. Moonkitty was a black and white MainCoon cat we adopted from the Hollywood animal shelter back in 1977.

Have observed it twice

Last time when my wife was gone and he was sitting at the door meowing and pawing the door. Picked him up, sat down with him and saw tears running. After a few minutes it stopped and the wet areas dried up again.

Sasha cried

When I adopted Sasha and Coco from a local animal shelter I was told they grew up together and they hoped to place them together. They were both about 6 years old and each a different breed, and not siblings. Although I was told that they were close, I didn't really see evidance of it the way one might expect. After three joyful years with them Coco sadly died last February. Shortly after, Sasha came and sat on my chest, and looking directly into my face, I saw his eyes well up with tears. When they were more than his beautiful green eyes coould hold, they spilled over and ran down his face. Then they stopped. Sasha had no problem with runny or tearing eyes beforwe or after this episode. I was stunned by what he had shared with me. I know he was crying real tears.

Several SFCA Cats

Never saw actual tears, but in "crying situations", several of our cats over the years would blink rapidly, as humans do when they're trying to blink-back their tears. But this seems rare as cats hardly feel as if they have anything to cry about!

My cat Mary cried when her brother died

We have many cats and love them all as children! Sadly one of our cats, Samie, was hit by a car and then passed quite quickly after that. My neighbour brought him round to us as she had seen it happen. His sister Mary was so quiet for days afterwards. She used to ask for treats when I was making meals and was a really extrovert cat, but without Samie, she was quiet and obviously missing him.I belive cats can understand our words, just a s babies do before they can speak to us, and so I took mary in my arms and explained to her about how her brother didn't leave her without saying a word but was now safe in heaven and I looked at her and she had real tears running from both eyes dowm her jet black face. A few days later I caught her sad again and took a close look at her and again she had tears running from the inner eye corners. The lst few days she has started to play and sleep with two of our other cats and is much more like her old self and I have not seen her cry since.:)

Cats Do Cry

My cat cried when I packed my suitcase to leave on vacation. Her entire face was wet and couldn't have been from watering eyes. She was visibly shaken. She hasn't done it since then.

One of my 4 cats cries

My black 10 month old cat, Jonathan cries when I dont let him in my room, pick him up or if he has an altercation with one of the other cats. As a matter of fact, I found this page because just now he had tears in his eyes and I googled to see if other people's cats cried. He doesnt have any eye disease and there are no signs of irritation of the eye like rubbing or constant washing. He was actually crying!

He cried because his brother has died

One of my cats do cry.It happened around three days ago at my house. My little Tiger look so strange at that day because he kept lying around the sofa and usually when it comes to feeding time he's the first. At first we thought he is sick and my mom ask me not to let him often on the sofa. But when I carries him and the others outside at night,he struggles and meows as if he don't wants to sleep outside.I let him go and put him down gently and ask him "what's wrong dear?" in a soft tone. Then he look at me and that is when I saw my Tiger shed his first tears. Then I realised that my cat's not sick,he just feels so sorrow and looks very sad...but about what???Then I began to realised that my grey-striped cat Kenit(in english means Tiny)has been gone in two days from now.Now I know why,my cat's been crying all the time is because his brother probably died. Before Kenit disappears,Kenit looks very ill.I comforted him and I even cries with him too! After three days he's ok.

I cry to myself

If I cry, I cry to myself. It is only proper. We beings of the feline purrsuasion must at all times maintain decorum. If one practices my "Nine Laws for Good Living," which I am elucidating at http://mzpaws.blogspot.com -- slowly, as I am constantly interrupted by the paparazzi, the Gulf oil crisis and the effect it is having on my Sunday night shrimp feast -- as I say, if one were following my Nine Laws, one would never have to cry. However, since my "disappearance" after being swarmed by the paparazzi over the July Fourth weekend, I have been advised that many of my fans are crying. Whether that is because they are wearing fur in this heat -- we know it is not PC to wear fur, we just can't help it -- or because they truly miss me, only time will tell. Always your, Mz Paws

Our new kitty Marshall

We have a small house by the river, and we've noticed a few stray cats in the area. Being huge animal lovers, we've already adopted 3 cats and we have a dog, and they all get along like a little family. One day a new kitty wandered into our yard, a cuddly little orange kitty, no more than a year old. This kitty was hungry! So we fed him, and let him stay the night...a night turned into him deciding he was going to live with us, we are delighted to say :) Its been about a month, and this morning as I was feeding the kitties their normal dry food, I mixed in a little can of wet food in all their bowls as a treat. As they were eating, and I was petting them, I noticed new kitty Marshall had two big tear drops in his eyes, as he arched his back for me to pet him, and he chowed his breakfast. I truly believe they were tears of joy, to finally have a family, a warm home, and a full belly! :)
