Remembering Shannon
He came to us almost 22 years ago, in early November of 1982. Our daughter, Suzanne, found him late at night, wandering around the picnic tables in Shannon Park. Exactly three years ago today, we lost him to CRF and other complications of FIV. The daily pain of loss eventually fades, but almost every day something brings back memories: A jay bird sitting on our roof peak reminds us of the time we found Shannon sleeping peacefully on the rafter that extends under the roof beam, 25 feet above the ground. Jaspurr's size and the way he "works" his huge orange paws are an every-day reminder of Shannon, who was a big boy, himself. Shannon has been gone three years, but never forgotten.
This one's for you, my Rainbow and Sunshine Boy.
