Happy Easter, Without the Lily, Please

Friday April 6, 2007
Here's a Happy Easter wish to all those who celebrate it. We'll have a quiet day at home, and I might even dye some Easter Eggs, but I'll just admire the Easter Lilies in the supermarket. The ASPCA has this to say about them:
Members of the Lilium spp. are considered to be highly toxic to cats. While the poisonous component has not yet been identified, it is clear that with even ingestions of very small amounts of the plant, severe kidney damage could result.
