I’ve known about the human prepared Tuna but what about the type processed specifically for Cats some with added “cheese” or “egg”?? Are they as good as other untainted cat foods ??
Hi Craig,
Most tuna recipe cat foods are made with red tuna (the kind if you read the FAQ that is more prone to causing painful steatitis). Also, because of possible mercury contamination, cats should not eat more than two or three meals of tuna per week. My personal preferred meat protein for cats is chicken – real chicken, not loaded with chicken by-products.

Hi there, I feed my dogs natural food and I know they make natural food for cats too. The vets by me approve all of the natural foods, for my animals. When dogs and cats lived in the wild how do you think they survived? Some still do live in the wild. My dogs are very healthly and have very shiny looking fur.My one dog has really bad allergies and since I have changed to natural food, my dog has improved greatly.
