I vote for Scooter. Looks just like my Dora
Franny, there isn’t a poll.
Franny, Would it be possible for you to email me the link I go to to reread about the coyote pup and the wonder woman in I believe Oregon?
That was such a great read and I wanted my husband to enjoy it.
Thanks. trumterd_72@yahoo.com
Felix!!
Thanks for the heads-up, E! It’s fixed now.
trumterd: I’ll mail the link today. It’s a wonderful story!
I love Abby! Her attitude reminds me so much of my baby, Lily. She’s also very particular with her friends, but very loving with me and my immediate family. It’s not unusual at all for her to sleep wrapped around my head.
I guess what really bugs me about it is that Franny probably goes to a lot of trouble to set these polls up for our enjoyment and a mutual celebration of each other’s cats, and if people get too crazy, it takes all the fun out of it.
I’ll climb down off my soapbox now, because too much preaching isn’t fun either.
Lisa, just remember the cats will never know how all of it turns out, and if they did, they’d probably shake their heads, think, “Such silly humans …” and go back to sleep.
I’ve always admired cats for knowing their priorities. And no matter what, the photo galleries are brilliant, so, proud parents, keep sending ‘em in!
Exactly Ellen. And yes I adore the photo galleries too as well as the stories behind each portrait. Did you see the picture of Barney Boo Boo? He was one of the December 2007 contestants. What a picture! lol He was sitting up against a doll house with his legs sprawled out and showing off his tummy. It was almost like he was saying “yeah I conquered another human establishment” Just too adorable. And I loved the fact that Barney enjoys his car rides-especially to drive up windows in banks and fast food joints. Now that’s personality. Just a fabulous cat.
Folks…this is only fun…it’s not a serious poll, so don’t get upset is someone is voting, over and over, for the same cat on the same computer. Cheating…yes, it is, but in the grand scheme of all the terrible things going on in the world we live, voting too many times isn’t a big deal. Enjoy the pictures of these beautiful animals and appreciate what Franny is trying to do by bringing a little joy into our lives.
I do appreciate the stories and pictures of all the beautiful cats. This is supposed to be fun but I don’t think it is fun for the cats that do not receive hardly any votes or for the ones that probably would have won if the final victory was based on popularity instead of falsely inflated voting.
mmmrrraagghhh! FELIX! FELIX! FELIX! FELIX!!! MMRRAAGGHH!!!
grrr I’m right there with you Barney Boy fellow feline friend! GO FELIX!!! GRRRR!!!
MEOW win for us Felix!!!!
Kudos Thanks for restoring the right to vote back on the main page
Susan Anthony
I love them all! It was so hard to vote for just one when they are all so great! But vote I did. I loved Scooter his eyes wow. But then I love them alllllllll….
We love Ferdie in China- I send him to all my friends
There is nothing miraculous about Ferdie aquiring the many, many votes he has. Just the same as the many, many votes that Felix has gotten. It just really shows the wonderful friends and family that Arianna, Ferdie and Felix have. How quick so many are to believe that someone can’t have so many supporters without cheating. That’s sad. So boycot if you want, vote if you want, call a friend if you want, but please stop taking the fun out of these beautiful photo’s of our pets. And I really hope this post gets out there!
All the best to Felix and Ferdie- two cats of extraordinary panache, style, and beauty.
PEOPLE: ENOUGH!
I have enough work to do trying to maintain this site and make it a pleasant, entertaining, and educational place for my readers. Having to serve additionally as a kindergarten teacher and slapping hands is not only time-wasting, but not really my cup of catnip.
The repeated comments back and forth about the alleged “cheating” in my polls is not only distressing to me, but very painful to the people who have generously opened their hearts to you by sharing photos and stories of their loved cats.
If I decide to cancel Cat of the Month/Year polls going forward, it will be for one reason only: NOT because I believe there is any conspiracy to cheat, but because of this petty and malicious bickering.
It sickens me, and I am NOT going to allow it to destroy over 10 years of what has been a labor of love in creating this site.
I have just now deleted a number of the more egregious comments in this thread, and will continue to delete them when necessary.
PLEASE don’t force me to disable comments completely on these poll blogs!
Franny,
Thank you so much for doing this. I always come to this site to look at the beautiful pictures and stories and did not enjoy the latest comments posted.
To my point of view this is a place to have fun, share the love for our cats and bring positive energy.
I can just imagine how hurt some pet owners might have been by reading what was posted here and now, thank God, deleted.
It should not be this way because it adds work to you, however if this is the only path to get back to normal, I believe you are doing your best!
I am a big supporter of keeping the fun as it has always been in the past years that I have been coming back to your site.
That’s it Franny. Ignore the truth and edit out any comments which may be upsetting. Isn’t that what they do in dictatorships? Don’t worry, I’m moving on.
On the contrary, Antonio. Dictators “edit out” only people who disagree with them. I applied equal opportunity with my edits and comments on both sides of the fence got the blue pencil because they were disruptive, not because they didn’t (or did) agree with me.
As for your moving on, I look on this site as “my home,” and guests who don’t wish to stay are free to leave.
Hey, we know we’re all beautiful - we’re cats, aren’t we? Since we’ve already won the gene pool by being born feline, we aren’t really worried about how the polls turn out. We have our toys, our beds and our full tummies, so whatever happens, it’s all good. Chin scritches to all of you, and thanks for voting for any and all of our gorgeous selves. Soldier on, Franny!
Franny, Don’t put your boots out— they can’t be shined.
Ted Bunson
Let us support all these champion cats in their future endeavours. All is well that ends well.

Thanks, Catlover, Abby, and Winston, for your positive comments.
Ted, I’m pretty fond of these worn old boots. Perhaps you should walk a mile in them before judging.
Franny, you have worn old boots? When you’re done with them, can I have them? I loooooove boots - second only to tool belts (don’t ask me why, I don’t know either. But, I do).
Yes sir this is the monment of truth . Where the two square off to see who is the king of the litterbox!!! Go Ferdie!!!!!!!!
Wow ,Y is Franny getting all this lip? If you people dont like this site then move on and judge something else. Some people have way too much time on there hands
